Hi everyone,

I'm troubleshooting a CRT monitor that is displaying a strong green tint across the entire image.

I've already ruled out the color adjustments (drive/cutoff), as they don't correct the problem. Because of that, I'm starting to think the issue may be on the neck board rather than being a simple calibration problem.

Before I start replacing components, I'd appreciate your thoughts.

So far:

  • Color adjustments don't solve the issue.
  • The green tint is present all the time.
  • I'm suspecting the video output stage for the green channel or another component on the neck board.
I've attached some photos and a short video showing the issue.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any suggestions on what I should check first?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Fault is indeed likely on the neck board. Check the color drive transistor and any diodes and resistors in the circuit.

Stock monitor is MS-2932, so assuming it's one of those:

30X is red
31X is green
32X is blue
