Crazy Taxi Upright Control panel swap?

I have a Crazy Taxi upright that I can play 18 wheeler but the steering is challenging. Can I swap a whole complete 18 wheeler upright control panel in the Crazy Taxi to help remedy this problem?
 
Depends on what you mean by control panel. You can't just swap the dash over.

Cut off the studs and put some new bolts in?
 
It won't work without modding as the cutout for the steering assembly is in a different place on the CT cab.
 
Ok I see what you mean now. I went into the test mode and adjusted the steering. It actually plays pretty well now. I did the same with the King of Route 66 and it plays well also. I just need to get the nitro boost working on that game. Do you know is there a way to get the nitro boost without having to hook up a CB Mic? Here is a post of a detailed way to do that but I was wondering is there an easier fix. Thanks for your help much appreciated .
 
You can use the nitro with a button, yes. It's a setting in the test menu.
 
Question for you. I found a working 18 wheeler stand up but I need to replace the two springs for the steering wheel. I can't seem to locate a manual for the stand up version. Are they called the return springs? Part 50-8143-00 ThanksIMG_0878.jpg
