FOUND Daytona USA 2 Twin marquee and Sega driver parts (Daytona 2, Super GT etc)

Nice work, looks great! I agree it's one of Sega's best looking driver cabs. The pink fluorescent lighting up that marquee is a sight to see.. can imagine it wasn't cheap but well worth it.

We had UK and Japanese versions over here in England and I can confirm the Japanese cabs were definitely the nicest.. the UK twin looks very similar but the Japan builds have soft seat cushions, better seat back plastic shape, nicer base metalwork, quality footplate matting etc.

I hear you on the shipping from Australia, I shipped a full roll of original style rubber floor matting from Oz.. it was heavy! X/

NIce to get some history on the cab too, it's certainly done some miles!

I don't have as much space as you so seeing sideart is kind of a luxury I can't afford!

Nice machines! The UK ones seem very close to the Japanese ones and I'd happily take one if it was available. Besides the deluxe which was Japan-built, we mostly got these wooden Sega USA abominations here. Mostly wood build, flimsy side plastic and the seat backs are always cracked because Sega USA decided that the plastic clips weren't secure enough, so they riveted in threaded plates and tightened the screws. They also drilled an additional hole on the shoulders.

The red marquee bulb is Prince Electric FRS54T6レッド/M. You can order them until 2027 which is when Japan is banning fluorescent production, so if you want any I would advise ordering now!
