Dismount steering wheel of a Daytona 2

I am trying to replace a broken steering wheel shaft from a Daytona 2 twin cab. Most of it is dismounted but wasn't able to remove this piece marked on picture. Maybe somebody has experience? Didn't find much informationen about it so not sure if it is just stuck. Heat it up a little and remove with force?





PS: Wondering how much force has to be brought on the steering wheel to deform such a piece of metal like that.

Normally it would just pull off. It's probably rusted inside. Whack it with a hammer.
