Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to dig deeper into arcade PCB repair. My latest self-imposed project to gain experience is a friend's Atari Space Duel PCB.
As first measures without really analyzing the board we got a new AVG, socketed everything in the Vector-Circuit and changed the RAM.
This led to the board is now basically working, but has a distorted image.
To really analyze the whole thing on the table, I generated the necessary DC voltages, built a connector and connected everything to an oscilloscope.
There is also a working board to be able to compare .
This is how it looks like on the scope with the working board:
This is how the damaged one looks like, also distorted.
Could you give me some hint where to start debugging this ?
Best Regards and cheers
Christian
