Hi,
So I finally was able to get a DVDO VP50.
But when I plugged the PSU I heard a noise, some kind of whistling :( and the VP50 had no power in
The green led (on the PSU) was lower. When the PSU is not plugged, the whistling is higher and the green led is fine (intense)
So I decided to open and check inside the PSU.
I looked for damaged capacitors (at least no one is inflated) ?(

So my question is : is there a way to fix this PSU ?
If not can I replace it with a 6V 5A PSU ? I found some sellers on ebay and they said that they work fine with the VP50 (but I'm not confident)
If not, what PSU can I use with it ? Those 6V 7A ones seem to not exist on the internet ( at least at a decent price)

Are you using the original PSU? I have had this issue (whistling) with a meanwell PS when the load is under about 2A. In fact, when the load is less than 1A, the PS will not even power on.

Yes, I'm using the original PSU that seems faulty since I measured 5.9V and the VP50
wont power on

Maybe some VP50 owners can give feedback if they had to change their original PSU or if they are using non original ones

I already ordered one of those 6V, 5A PSU

So I received the new PSU (6V , 5A) and the DVDO booted well
I was able to enjoy it for about 3 hours without any issues and without overheating (PSU)

So problem solved :)

I would like to thank @PascalP that pointed me to this opportunity (the buyer was 5km far from my place) :)
