Egret 2: Illumination Panel Repros?

Many have tried, many have failed.

I don't think anyone is actively working on this at the moment. There was some hope that spawned from an ongoing Taito group buy, but no firm details or even any real indication Taito can or would be interested in tackling this.

Hursit was going to do it, but loads of people backed out and the project died.

I paid for my preorders, so I'd still support it.

I think if it happens at this point, it's either going to be through Taito, or a unicorn with more money than sense. There's a reason hursit bailed when a lot of the preorder commitments didn't pay up.

The reason is the majority of ppl were not willing to part with 250 or whatever for something they can't see an already finished product of. Also Noone can agree on how they should be made and everyone wants awsd and e3 ones too. Gotta stick to one thing with small batch stuff or ur gonna jack the price way up. U also gotta get collateral before dropping high 5 figures to make a product like that. This shit doesn't just manifest itself into fruition. It need ppl to back it and take that proverbial leap of faith. Ppl were also weary it wouldn't be an exact replica of the original , which kinda blows my mind that there's ppl out there with egret 2's that don't have any illumination panel at all and are picky enough about a color gradient that they would rather rock their cab with an empty giant slot in the top than have a decently accurate repro panel.
