ERROR 01 - Naomi 1 after swapping bios

Hi all, thought I'd ask the experts for some help trying to determine cause of error .

Have Japanese Naomi with Rev D bios I had swapped out with a Multi Region bios. Used to play Power Smash fine but wanted to upgrade bios for use with Net Dimm.

Don't have much experience with Naomi, but after swapping bios I get Error 01 'THIS GAME IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BY MAIN BOARD.' Have tested with Power Smash and a Net Dimm unit, both arent recognized by the Motherboard even through the test menu (unknown title)

Wondering if the Multi bios could be bad itself which results in the error, visually connection on both cart and mobo seems ok. Have ran Ram IC test and all came back good.

I am not sure if there is any setup to Multi bios, just set dipswitches for Japan region as thats the version of Power Smash I have.

Any pointers would be appreciated!

did you burn this bios yourself or did you buy it?

you want Dip 2 and Dip 3 both OFF for JP region.

bought it, i assume if somethings wrong with the bios the board will still boot with the same error? would it boot without recognizing bios to begin with?
