error 01

Tested my naomi 1'with a cart and it worked no problem. Later in the week I bought a GD rom and CVS 2 but it gives me error 01. I already cleaned everything and checked that the dimm sat as it should. My mobo currently has bios chip D, looking through this page I'm guessing I need a bios chip E to be able to use the GD rom?

To use Gd-rom you need "E" bios revision or later, with "D" bios GD-Rom don´t work
Best solution for you is multi-bios

Not necessarily. Those supplies are old and probably not very reliable.

For Naomi it is easier to get a nice high-wattage ATX supply with a wiring adapter.

I've got a Sun (Naomi) JVS power supply for sale right now should you need it.
Its been measured/verified (5v/12v/3.3v with a multi-meter) and was tested as working perfectly with Naomi 1 board, DIMM and GDROM.
