Hi Everyone,

In canada just got a Candy cab and tried booting my dimm with cf reader and I keep getting an error 1. Set it up with its own psu. Flashed with Naomi cf 3.14 I believe. The guy who gave it to me had it workout I can’t figure it out any help would be greatly appreciated. My mvs2 cart works perfectly just can’t get the dimm to work

I am going from memory but I think error 1 is a region issue with the game.

thanks for the reply. I believe my dimm can play any region game not sure that’s it. Any other ideas

Region is set by the mobo bios and not by the dimm. Do you have a multi region bios? If not, try another game that's the same region as your bios.

Also check your voltages.

sorry what i ment to say is it is a multi region bios and i just checked the voltages with no load 3.36 and 5.15

yes, multi region doesn't mean it automatically chooses the region for it. you have to choose it with the dip switches. the bios might have a sticker on it that shows you what the switches are or you can google it to find the info.

I’ll try it tomorrow and hopefully it works thanks guys for all the info Iill update tomorrow

So tried flipping the dip switches to different regions. No dice still cant get this thing going. Any other ideas i could try?

Can you check voltages under load? They can be very different compared to unloaded. Especially watch it during boot to see if it dips below 5/3.3.

so i got it working. I had another multi bios eprom put that in cleaned all the contacts had a few different error codes pop up and then it started loading. Thanks for all the info guys i really appreciate it. cheers.
