EXAMU eX-Board owners thread

Hey all,

Is there a recommended IDE DOM size and brand for backing up my carts?
the smallest is 977mb and the largest is 1.9gb.

is there maybe a possibility of a larger DOM with GRUB as a bootloader allowing us to pick which partition to load? Do the internal usb 9 pin headers support keyboard functions at boot up?

Hello guys! So after 3 years getting my stuff out of the storage I found out my brand new kit has a flat battery . Just get a black screen

What is the best way going forward,? I own a OG kit

So I have all the games and art /books music cd etc etc which I think is pretty rare (I believe I am missing 1 game? )

Was looking to sell the kit and all games but need to get the mobo working again

Any help would be appreciated!

Flat battery won't stop it from booting. It will just clear the BIOS settings. You have some other issue.

It works again! It was giving me a message after hooking up to vga . That I had to hit F1 so I replaced the battery while under power . And behold! It’s Alive again.

But now on every boot it gives this massage so I think I have to go into bios set the time using the password and the auto power at ac loss and then save ? As it won’t boot without me shorting the pins the start the pc

If you or anybody have screenshots of correct bios settings it would be great

@nem and any idea what value this set has ?

You have it correct. Enter the BIOS, make sure power on is set to auto on power loss and save settings. I think the checksum error should correct itself.

Hey guys could use a little help. Just received a EXAMU exboard with Daemon bride and having problems with the picture vertically scrolling. I tried adjusting the vertical hold on monitor which helped but the picture is still scrolling. I have dip 1&2 on as well as dip 8 on for 15khz. I checked all connections and weather I have the power switch on back of pcb up or down does not make a difference.

I have an ex board with arcana heart 3. I had plugged in the adapter and it wouldn't boot. Tried it over jamma edge too and nothing, no signs of life.

I quickly found the replacement board and swapped over the bios chip, put it all back together and still does not turn on at all, replacement board was powered using a normal atx power supply to reset the settings. So I know it isn't dead

I also made sure jumpers on new board matched the old one.

Any advise anyone can give me to bring this ex-board back to life?
