Cool so they do all work then, if it works on test menu, might be an issue of the game then for some.

yeah I’ll prep an SSD with more games to test, haven’t used it in quite some time.
But pretty positive back when I installed the FastIO it worked in my USF4 TTX3 unit

So we can confirm K91X1252A works with 6 buttons.

Hopefully @Derick2k can confirm his board model but at least we know the K91X1243A board doesn't work.

If anybody else has a B or C revision of the 1243 series and they test/confirm, that'd be great.
 
I have a few of the 1252A variant and a whole bunch of the 1243A variant, dont have any B or C, unless I find another box I have with more ios.

So will test both the 1252A & 1243A that I have just to see that I get the same results.

Maybe its a firmware based issue, so hopefully we can dump the 1252A to update the 1243A??

Forgot I need to crimp a power plug to mount on the vewlixs.

Thanks for confirming.

Unless someone knows how to dump the f/w of the 1252A to update the 1243A, then I pretty much have two options for the fast io route... either find 1252A's for sale (assuming they're cheaper) or get the Jamma edge one - more expensive by the look of it.
 
guess I got lucky them when I picked up the FastIO PCB on YAJ a long time ago.
Have you double checked the jumpers on your 1243A if they match my 1252A?
 
Yeah I've been on the lookout for your model now. I've seen B and C versions of the 1243, just never the 1252A.

I have also tried your jumpers and it's pretty conclusive, it has no response :(

Might have to suck it up and buy a jamma edge one from Cererth and get it shipped over to AU

Also in KOF2002UM all 6 buttons work in test mode but game itself is only 4b, although the buttons are 1-2-4-5 and all work.

don’t have any SF games on my drive to test atm, just slapped in a SSD I had lying around which still had a limited image of a 2.0 beta image.
Not sure where my SSD is with the final 2.0 image with all games, will make a new one if needed.

I wonder if its a firmware issue or if those inputs are just not connected somewhere?

Is there a list of the IOs that do/dont support the 5/6th buttons?
 
Related question: For the K91X1243C is the wiring the same as the K91X1204B? Meaning, can I just drop it into my Vewlix? The dimensions are very different, so I worry about being able to mount it without an adapter plate. Don't really need it at this point, but if I were to get a Type X3 at some point I want the option of using Fast IO (right now I have a JST to DB15 adapter I built running to an OpenJVS controller).
