This is another long shot I've found pcbs for the game but never the actual game as is. I'm open to even getting the pcb by itself too! It has to be version A. Otherwise known as FTL 0. That version has the ability to shift between the uncensored game and the censored game from the test menu I believe. Thanks!

Hi! :)

The region setting is determined by two flash ROMs on the motherboard. To get the uncensored Japanese version, those two flash ROMs need to be reprogrammed.

Really? I was told it could just be done in the test menu. I can take a pic of what the seller told me if it would help. Interesting…

But the game was only released in Japanese arcades so why would there be a region setting to begin with? Sorry I don’t want to make it seem like I don’t believe you. Thanks for the feedback and help! :)

Hi! :)

I have two Fighting Layer PCB ,the version of Hit Green lacks the change color Hit option.
I swap the rom board that doesn't change anything.


I think the motherboard is zoned or blocker for a region.


What is the chip on the motherboard that manages this?


What do you think about it ?

There was an error in my last answer the whole link of my explanatory post is not activated

To have the Japanese version naked no other choice to reprogram the Roma Flash on the Motherboard.

I have 2 Fighting Layer, one was jap the other export, the export version I reprogrammed it in jap

Hi! :)
I would like to know what is the chip to change and reprogram to change the region for games in general .I have a Censored Fighting Layer with green impacts it's too ugly :thumbdown: lol.Thank you :)
 
Sorry to have made the Edit mode in my response several times.

So I have a FTL0/VER.A JAP, on this version we can change the color of the hit in green or red

I had another version an FTL4 Ver.A Verse Export Color Verouili on Hit Vert, impossible to modify, I had to reprogram it in JAP.

I just saw that there is a Fighting Layer version (Asia, FTL3/Ver.a)

The character Janis Luciani has her knives replaced with sticks in one version FTL 3

Joe’s spiked balls he has over his gloves are removed entirely. I think Sessyu’s shurikens are replaced fire effects are made purple Preston Ajax mines are removed too I think!
