For sale: TvC w/ I/O, and graphics.

Looking for $1,000 obo w/free shipping.

Holiday edit: lowered for AP users, šŸ˜‰

Yes. The Wii version is better, yes, you could emulate on dolphin, yes, you could make ā€œconsole JAMMAā€ boards, but the game alone has been moving for $750-900 alone without I/O.

Games like that, Soul Calibur, etc where the console is clearly a better version, but not THE arcade version are so weird to figure out pricing wise. Itā€™s one of the few instances where the gamer and the collector arenā€™t one and the same on this hobby, so I totally understand your need to write the bottom part, lol.

I think part of the problem with this game is that while there is still a small competitive scene for it (mostly as a side game), pretty much everyone learned to play on the Wii version.

Still, never see this for sale, it's plug and play for a cabinet and it's a super dope game. GLWS, this game is still as insane today as it was when it launched.

Did you get this game locally recently from Danny During Texas Showdown?

Nope. Wished I woulda got his $500 set that he wanted to stay locally in houston but no. We got this from KC in cali, in an attempt to loosen him up before we got 12 cabs from him in person. Then we sourced the Capcom I/o after because the jank one he gave us after well, was jank.

We paid $850 there, In hopes of getting $1,000 net cities, then tried to source a Capcom I/O board and sunk $350 into one only to find folks talking about how this was the ā€œinferiorā€ version. So Iā€™d like to try and get out of it if possible.

I have a similar setup that I want to sell, minus the art, but just cant figure out pricing for it. But I see these are going for more than I estimated, I thought $850-900 for both PCB and IO would be a really good deal to sell it quickly and probably what I would sell for. GLWS

Yea itā€™s still a great game to own as a collector and Marvel vs series enthusiast, despite the preferred way to play competitively being emulated on Dolphin. I have original PCB myself, itā€™s been gaining value lately. Iā€™d say about $800-$900 for the set as a forum hookup and +~$200 market value.

itā€™s only expensive due to its novelty, realistically this game alone should be around $500 no art.

Right on. Dropped the price to $1,000 just off that alone. Weā€™ll see how it goes.

man I love this game, I wish I had the extra cash to buy it. good luck with the sale!

what's the difference between the 2?
Yeah, I think this is Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes, released for arcade (and Wii) only in Japan. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars was only on Wii, but it was released worldwide. Compared to the arcade version, the Wii version we got added Frank West, Zero, Viewtiful Joe, and Saki on the Capcom side and Ippatsuman, Joe the Condor, Tekkaman Blade, and Yatterman-2 on the Tatsunoko side.

thank you for that explanation.

Cross Generation of Heroes is like SF2, Ultimate All-Stars is like SF2:CE.
The problem with this game is that it IS the arcade version (often times seen as the best version historically) but with this particular game the definitive version is actually considered the home/Wii version (not the arcade).

Should you put a Wii console inside an arcade cab? Christ no, I wouldn't be caught dead!
The popular choice is to use Dolphin (GC/Wii emulator) upsampled to something modern/sexy (I like 1440p personally).

The arcade version is a collectors item IMO, because only collectors/completionists would want it.
Sure its valuable because its so rare, somewhere around 1000$ I'd say, but have you guys actually played it?
The Capcom roster is pretty good, I really like the inclusion of Alex, the Tatsunoko roster on the other hand...
I'm an American, who the fuck are these characters and why should I care?

Characters I think that's it.

The Wii version was also rebalanced a bit as the Arcade version had some crazy broken stuff early on (Karas in general comes to mind, a lot of characters had infinites, Giants, etc.). It's interesting to note that even the JP Wii version is different from the US version, as they did additional balancing between the regional console releases.

This is a cool piece of hardware to own. It is super rare to find second hand now and will surely be collectible (if it isn't already).

hell yea! Haha I own it. One of my fave fighters actually. I also know the Tatsunoko characters growing up with classic anime.

I love Capcom arcade games so owning this kit is a no-brainer for me. Itā€™s the arcade version, and thatā€™s what goes into my arcade cab. In a cab, itā€™s easily accessible, and a blast to pick up and play, and mess around with. Especially since not many people play this game competitively (so nobody really cares).

I have the Wii versions, and have spent some time with them in the past. But, now, I really couldnā€™t tell you how it differs from the arcade version. Plus, I donā€™t even have the Wii plugged in any more.

tl;dr: worth it.
