What's new
Looks like there's issues going on with Alejandro (Alex) Romero Bravo of Terraonion. He's gone awhol and is chastising all his customers who simply ask for some customer support.

I personally went through hell when I bought a Terraonion NEOSD cart and the cartridge shell doesnt go into my neo geo AES properly... I tried 3d printing a different center piece that aligns both the pcb boards but that didn't fix the issue... regular neo geo carts i own go in my aes without me fighting it. Never had this issue resolved so kinda annoyed by that and the fact that I cant load aes roms into it without using their demented conversion tool. I dont support piracy but when I want to just try out a neo geo aes game that I dont own... it'd be nice to just try it out on something I paid over $500 for!

Anyways besides the dumpster fire with Terraonion being ran by the equivalent of the retro gaming worlds soup nazi... i'm not on here to beg for Darksoft to just release another batch of AES multicarts if its financially too hard because of the overhead costs and all the other stuff it takes to produce them.... I'm begging to pass on the information as an open source or to some flashcart maker with good customer service that's willing to continue making them if you're no longer going to produce them anymore.

I really feel my neo sd cart is a relic to use ontop of it's stupid annoying shell that doesnt fit into my neo geo aes properly. I just want a proper product without having to deal with alex romeros customer service issues.

That Alex on the Discord group is a joke. Although mine works ok in my AES, how the customers have been treated I will never support TO with my money ever again.

Has Darksoft shared why AES carts are no longer made? I've studied the Furrtek MVS2AES adapter FPGA code as well as what Vortex wrote for his multi-cart (they're basically identical) when compared to what the MVS code does, and it's pretty straight forward. Is it just the shell that's holding them from being produced? I can't see anything else that might be the issue.

I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but what about selling just the PCB? (The way Krikzz sold some of his EverDrive units for years) Leave it to the end user to supply the AES shell.

AES has always been selling slower than MVS and I had a bad experience sitting with a lot of carts and TO for many reasons. MVS once a year with prepayment, I know it will sell, but AES, I'm a bit scared honestly and to make it be worth, I'd need to produce over 100 units. Is there so many people willing to buy one? Think that you can get a MVS and use the Furrtek adaptor and it will work well.
