Hi,

I have a Ghost squad DX, where the chihiro has been replaced by a Yellow Lindbergh (with multi)

The P2 gun has a strange issue with the recoil.
During the attract mode, the recoil is actived, and stay activated for 15/20 seconds, than stopped, come back to neutral position (there is a spring).
after few seconds, the same problem is back.
If I launch a game, the gun is working properly, except the recoil .

I tried to invert P1 & P2, on the fuse board, P1 has the issue, and P2 gun is working fine.

Which board could be faultry ? I/O ? Gunboard ? Fuse board ?

thank you.

Chihiro used Type 2 I/O for Ghost Squad, Lindbergh uses Type 1 or 3. The GPO for player 2 gun is on different location.

Hi AndyGeezer,

thanks for the help.
I'm not familiar with naming convention in Arcade.
What is GPO ? The power in the pinout ?

Replacing the I/O by a type 3 would solve the problem ? I have many in stock

GPO = General purpose output (bit), the output is generally used to indicate a lamp status, but in this recoil on/off.

if you are using a Type 2 I/O you'll need to merge the 32/40pin JST RA connectors into a single 60pin RA connector for a Type 3 I/O board

You might be able to just pull pin 17 (RA34P/CN9) and move it to Pin 13 (RA34P/CN9), but for testing I'd remove Pin 13 (1P Card Lock) and see if the gun recoil disappears - I suspect it will.

Do the player 1 and 2 lamps work correctly? Does the player 1 recoil work?

But if not you could convert it to a Type 3 I/O board, but that is far more complex and easy to make a mistake on.

Oh, you just remind me that I had to disconnect the card reader P1 which was locking the card every second.

The P2 Lamp is not working correctly, true also .
The P1 recoil is working fine yes.

I start thinking mounting back the Chihiro would be a smart (lazy?) move :)
