Had a power supply go out on it. Replaced the power supply before installing verified 3.3 and 5. Installed PS and then checked 3.3v and 5v and adjusted to correctly. Powered on fine and played a few games and let it run in attract mode to verify PS was working fine. Came back 30 mins later game was running slow. Audio playback is correct. Passes ROM test. Locks up at RAM test on IC37. What option do I have to get it repaired?
 
SP is mostly same as NAOMI + 171-8346 ROM board + AU1500-based Net.board (like in Triforce or Chihiro) on single PCB. so, the most of NAOMI repair advices will be right here too.
 
how much is "mostly"?
could games be converted without much work?
 
@stj depends on definition of "much work". for sure it will require rework of I/O access routines (SP uses direct GPIO, while NAOMI have JVS host MCU and JVS I/O boards), and probably other minor stuff like SRAM and EEPROM access.
in general, it is somewhat similar to AW->NAOMI conversions.
 
i knew about the input handling, just wasnt sure about the rest of the system.
