No luck with a B-Board that was a Marvel vs. Capcom phoenix edition. Just a blank purplish screen (which I think means that I may have had the jumpers set incorrectly). I wasn't sure how to set the jumpers when the sockets were empty so the jumpers were set for a maxed out B-Board with all M27C322's for sockets 11+ (which is also what the Darksoft multi uses):

SOOS_SO_OSOSOS_SOSOSOSO_SOSOSOSO​

I also wasn't sure what BGBS3 PAL to use so I tried all of them:
  1. CPS2-BGSB3.jed
  2. CPS2-BGSB3A.jed
  3. CPS2-BGSB3D.jed
  4. CPS2-BGSB3F.jed
  5. CPS2-BGSB3G.jed
  6. CPS2_BGSB3B.jed
  7. CPS2_BGSB3E.jed
No change with any of them. Maybe with some more tinkering I could get there.

I changed up the jumpers to use a mix of 4megabyte M27C322's on sockets 13/15/17/19 like this conversion with M27C160's in the other sockets so that I could make a Darkstalkers - and that worked.

So once I get around to popping out the Darkstalkers chips, I'll try this again with that jumper configuration.

This isn't meant to be a complaint. I really appreciate your work, @Bonky. I just wanted to share my trials and tribulations in the hope it may save someone else the effort :-D
