Hi guys ,

I have a graphical problem in my daytona 2 cab. It’s a twin cab .

One side has the issue. I swapped the metal cages to narrow down the issue and with that I saw that the issue must be in the pcb cage.

The issue is strange. It is somewhat red dots and stripes on screen but only in certain situations: it is visible during gameplay on beginner course and expert stage but there only on the first part of the course . Interestingly when I complete the first lap on expert and I come to the track part where the problem occurred , the problem is gone. Starting new, problem is back.

It is also visible in attract mode when you see track 1 but NOT. when the game is giving the driving tips.

I first thought that textures are defective but that’s obviously not the case. Second track and menus are perfectly fine

Any ideas ?

Probably your video Board has gone broken. It's a common issue with Model 3 PCBs. Send it to Ken from @irepairsega or someone that you trust can do a proper job.
 
Looking at the pic I see red stripes on the road, is that it? The road texture possibly changes between laps to show use. Have you done a rom check in the test menu?
 
well they are also visible on the grass when the appear and on track 3 also on the walls. thats why i dont think its texture specific
 
Ok guys I tested now in the service menu , the grat. fails at the

Maybe something I can repair myself ?

Ohhh what a surprise! There are a lot of Ram chips on the video board. If the test tells you which ones are bad, you need to replace them. But that's not an easy job, so I would leave it in skilled hands.
 
Yeah i posted there under his video but it is not possible to contact someone directly in yt ? Or is it ?
