Hey guys,

Transferred a monitor from one location to another and now the screen is turning green on me. However, when I move it, or maybe to the side of the game the screen goes back in to color.

Is there a permit fix to this? Or should I be looking into getting a new monitor or chassis?

Thanks!

The is sounds like loose RGB connections, either wires or solder joints. See if moving the video cables going to chassis or to neck board has any effect.

Check for cold solder joints on the bias pots on the monitor chassis especially if it has never been serviced

A picture would really aid a ton in knowing how to help. Depending on what sort of green you're talking any of the above could be the cause.

Full screen green - cold solder joints/bias pots/transistor.

Wonky green stuff and weird colors - degauss.

Full screen screen.
Sorry about not having pictures. I took videos and didn't know the forum doesn't take pictures. I will do screen shoots if i need to but i dont think a picture does justice to what is going on.

I degaussed the screen just before it casue the corners we discolored and it cleared that up. However once i started to roll it in to place the screen kept switching to full green here and there. Once i got it into place it acted fine, but there has to be a more permanent fix. I feel like this will happen again.

It is going to be something like this:

You might as well reflow all of the pots. I wrote up some of what I typically do for any monitor in hand.
