Hi all,
My interests mainly are in beat em ups and fighters. I’m a noob at most fighters and mainly just play them casually because I enjoy them.
I was a huge xmen and TMNT fan as a kid so when I got to try those games at arcades I was always overjoyed. And like any other kid I was also fond of street fighter 2 on the home consoles and arcades. Then one day before a movie me and my family checked out the arcade and I tried XvsSF and it blew my mind. That was my first exposure to the VS series and I subsequently tried MvC at a bowling alley a few years later and MvC2 on Dreamcast at a neighbours house a few years after that.
MvC2 cemented itself as a bucket list game for me to own one day and I only managed to play it emulated for a long time because I was frankly a broke kid and the game cost so much on the second hand market for ps2 and Xbox(I didn’t own DC at the time).
As an adult I slowly started collecting a lot of old fighting games on Saturn and Dreamcast that I enjoyed playing arcade versions of and finally got MvC2 for Dreamcast that alway alluded me. I bought a few arcade sticks and attempted building my own MAS inspired stick(which is still incomplete but will be finished this year). I sort of lost a bit of interest in modern gaming as much and found myself gravitating towards arcade style games so figured I would start collecting some PCBs of fighters and beat em ups I really enjoyed. I got 2 CPS2 titles and figured I’d buy a supergun to play them.
Through my research on superguns I ended stumbling on this forum. The idea of a cab never crossed my mind because it didn’t make too much sense space wise. But then I thought about I and figured I could just sell some stuff and throw out some stuff to make space for one. So I created a profile here and shot a DM to someone here inquiring about purchasing a cab and they coincidentally had some available. I’ll be purchasing one of those cabs and am looking forward to playing on it.
