I guess that since the cabs were all metal most were sold as scrap as soon as they were put out of commission rather than kept around like Astro Citys
bingo. Space in Japan is expensive, they don't keep stuff sitting around in wearhouses unless it's significantly more valuable than the space it occupies. I've noticed a lot of old games and old cars that were never officially sold outside of Japan tend to be cheaper and easier to find outside of Japan than they are in Japan simply because when they were at their least valuable they either got shipped overseas or recycled.

Yeah my thinking regarding Ponys (etc) was that since they're so rare in the US that I would have one imported, but I guess they're very rare in Japan too? I mean, I have been to Japan and never actually seen any in arcades (or really anything with a CRT besides the typical Sega/Taito "plastic" cabs) but I assumed there must be some sitting in a warehouse somewhere that someone who sells cabs to westerners would know about. Also who would be good to contact about an Aero City anywhere in the continental US? I actually know a freight shipper who has already helped me get one cab so arranging shipping would not be a problem for me.
Careful with dem Pony's, they are not very durable. Did you post in the this facebook group recently?

Id find it surprising if two people were talking about Pony cabs this close together lol

KLOV is a good resource for Aero's, as odd as that sounds. The wooden cab guys view them as "that odd little metal cab" and sell them off cheap usually. Craigslist is good. Captain's Auction out of Anaheim on bidspotter. Like you said, anyone importing is less likely to have access to the older metal cabs compared to Astro's or AWSD's.

If anyone is down to do an east coast group order let me know, I might be down to get 4-6 candies and possibly some dedicate cabs as well. I have about 2000 sq ft space at one of my properties I can use to store the cabs, clean up and refurbish them, etc..

I wish I had that much space! :) But I know myself, I will fill it with with many arcades just to notice that.......I need more space!! :)

Thats why Im limiting myself to a few cabs :)

But I might get more cabs if I can get them at cost and split the shipping fees with others that want to order for the east coast.

As far as the cab, they become brittle. Or at least mine did. This is what happened to me. The plastic keeps getting worse over time throughout the entire shroud not only the CP

A Pony cab was just listed/sold in my area for $400. I think it was just missing the glass for the moves strip. They are pretty rare but now that I know a member is looking for one, I'll keep any eye out.

Ahh OK, that's a Mark IV which I definitely don't want, only really interested in the metal ones, the mkII and mkIII (which from what I can tell are plenty durable)

I'm also in NYC brotha... I can easily get that candy set at I fix machine in brooklyn for convenience

The most recent candy cab offering came in finally. Unfortunately the pricing may have gone up a fair chunk, $200 or so. I'm double-checking to make sure, but it's likely I may just import them in serviced but uncleaned condition to cut costs, and keeping them for our inventory. I'll update when I know more, but for now I'm going to hold off on candies until other elements are lined up.

The three that I have listed already are in the air, not sure what I'll do in light of it since we got the price locked before this offering.

Any Chewlix??

Nah, I'd do that as a separate import. Hard to come by space on a JP container for me right now, would rather do an LCL order for Cewlixes later

All waiting on finances, arrival time, and needs for summer cons. Like I said cost may have jumped up as well, so for now I'm putting it all on hold. Selling anything I have right now was contingent on getting more later at the same price
