I bought a single-board Guardians PCB from a forum member. I think this is the one everyone calls the Korean version.

I haven't fired it up yet because I noticed a cap at C4 (near the JAMMA key) was removed messily, and every other matching PCB I've found online has a cap at that spot. Looks like C4 is supposed to be 470uF 16V. Does anyone know if it's safe to run the board without the cap?

Well, I wanted to test it soon so I could complain to the seller ASAP if it were a problem, so I tested it. Between power on and credits, the only weird thing I noticed was a horizontal string of red dots that zips across the screen above P. Belva's head during the demo. I assume that's not supposed to be there, but I have no idea if it's related to the missing cap at all.

p.s. Either I'm missing something or P. Belva is the worst character in the game.

Present and correct on mine too, dunno about the red dots tho, can have a look tomorrow but seems they’re normal?

Hi all ;) Sorry to hijack, but I too have some component questions on these Korean "Guardians" boards. Mine is a little rough, with several missing components by the looks and I'm hoping someone can clarify/confirm values of the below noted parts. This reference is not my PCB, just a clear pic I found.

I have a minor sound issue too. It's like a rhythmic pulse, almost a click, maybe every second or a little faster. Like a metronome in is consistency and is present the whole time the game runs, though you don't hear it unless there is sound playing. Any ideas where to look for an odd issue like this?

Thanks a bunch in advance
