Hey guys, I'm totally new to the arcade scene.
I have a very long background in professional software engineering but I've always had a side interest in the electrical and computer side of things. Personally, I love getting a bit handy with soldering projects and things like that.
I'm not honestly very knowledgeable when it comes to arcade game cabinets, and I'm an absolute noob, but I am hyperfixated at the moment with probably my one and only favorite arcade cabinet that I am desperately trying to get into my home: 'Monkey Ball' from SEGA from 2001.
That game rings hard on my childhood and although I didn't discover the arcade version itself until the last 5 or so years ago, Super Monkey Ball was probably the game series I dumped the most hours into during my life, and I would put it up there as one of my favorite game franchises of all time.
So in my attempts to put things together, I stumbled on this forum and I've already met so many really nice and intelligent people. I'm really grateful for that
I'm hoping I can contribute more to the community as I learn more! Much love from New Jersey
