Long-time lurker, first-time poster, thanks for having me! Got a Namco Consolette 18 and an obscure German cocktail table. Started out with a C64 way back when and got hooked to arcade gaming way back in the 80s and 90s on vacation in Italy (German arcades were not accessible for kids). Exidy's Chiller was giving me nightmares back then. Looking for another candy cab atm, but availability in Germany is not the best. Living basically right between Flipper- und Arcademuseum Seligenstadt and Retrogames Karlsruhe, so I try to visit there every once in a while (back in Seligenstadt in March). Cheers!

Welcome fellow Leidensgenosse.
Yeah getting hooked on Arcade games in Germany wasn't easy, i had to fly to Tunis to get my first contact with Arcade Games (Fatal Fury 1) and after that make do with the meager offering the french provided me on vacations (Astros running Metal slug, Puzzle Bobble & Windjammers. Woodys running Tekken 2, UMK3, Simpson's… might not have been such meager of an offering 🤔)
Has been probably a decade since i was in Seligenstadt (before they had the room with candys) it was always great but now a day's the timeslot/ticket situation sounds so bad that I'm kind lost interest.
Regarding availability of Candy's, yeah it's not the best but you should check kleinanzeigen, 2 - 3 times a year the have some 🙃
For instance right now ther is a big consolette (for big Money):

Hi Leidensgenosse! ;)

Already spotted the Consolette! It's big money (wonder how much it will go for in the end) – and I'd rather get a different model since I already got the smaller Consolette. Also looking for a 4 (or more) button panel since I don't want to mess up my Consolette's panel by drilling holes in it. Kleinanzeigen had an Egret (II, if I remember correctly) recently, but it's also gone now (also around 4k).

Seligenstadt: March tickets sold out in minutes, I was lucky to get one. That being said, they do not oversell (in my opinion), meaning you don't have to wait in line to get to most machines, so you can spend most of your allotted time slot really playing (and not waiting). If you haven't yet, try to check out Karlsruhe: It's open every Saturday, so no pre-sale necessary.

Parodius has to be my favorite Konami shmup
Especially Sexy Parodius
I've never seen that Namco cab before
Love how it looks
