Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well. Thank you for having me, Admin/ Moderators. A big and warm thank you to @Big_P Big_p, @TulioAdriano and another gentleman (I think he is also on here) for supporting a newcomer to arcade and guiding me the 'jungle' of it all to help me achieve my goals. I am overwhelmed and humbled by your kindness and help. I appreciate this and your knowledge and experience very much. As, as a newcomer to it all, I have found thus far that the hobby has a fairly steep learning curve with a lot of nuance. I am very fascinated by it all and am thoroughly enjoying learning about a lot of its facets.

Thank you @Big_P Big_p for my first ever super-gun, which is due for delivery to me today. And thank you to @Frank_fjsWhilst for developing this. And thank you again to Tulio for undertaking my MVS project.

Happy gaming,

Welcome! ^^

You're definitely in the right place for help and guidance with everything arcade. There's a ton of knowledgeable folk on here who will help you get setup. There's a load of great international members and quite a few in the UK and London area... I'm near Oxford myself.

What games are you looking forward to playing on your new SG?

Hey Franco,

Hope you are well. Thank you for welcoming me and your message.

Yes, to your point, part of what helps me specifically is the age-gap, actually. As I am a bit younger/ younger than most folks in this scene. I have consistently found that it is due to this, they have more wisdom; memory and hands on experience of arcade than I ever could have, or actually did. So, I find that very humbling and cool.

I am looking forward to first playing Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting with my Minigun. It is my favourite street fighter game of all time and in my top 5 all time favourite video games. Throughout all my life, it - via the SNES port for the longest time - has always been my go to for a 'quick fix' and bash of pure gaming fun, excitement and gaming-endorphin rush. I only discovered the arcade original about 3 years ago via my MiSTer. Though at the moment, I am maybe actually preferring the SNES port, ironically! It has a certain rawness of it's own and feel that I do love, too. For example, when the guitar-synths hit in Ken's stage on the SNES port, it doesn't sound as refined and crystalline as the CPS1 original, which I actually like, or even prefer! And so, this really gets me pumped!

I also would love to use my Minigun with an Atomiswave.

I have been struggling with a suitable case - Darksoft and Jensen seem to be all sold out of theirs and any filter boards, and so my plan for one is going to be expensive. But I am dead set on making my dream a reality, so I will do my best to make it happen.
