It depends on the dongle that you have. Different dongles call for different restore discs.

If you have a TDUpgrade USB security dongle, you need to use the 'u' discs (I believe 1.27u is the latest).

If you have a TDKit USB security dongle, you need to use the 'k' discs (1.26k is the latest).

If you have a parallel port dongle, you need to use the regular restore discs (3.04 is the latest).

thanks for the info let me check the isos which one is left for mb

Both Upgrade and Kit use USB dongles. I guess yours is the former.

I can upload the Upgrade restore discs if needed.

I downloaded version 1.25 I think and it doesn't detect the dongle it flashes and the game doesn't detect it, what could be the version of the game or the dongle and I also have this version but I don't know how to install it

It's looking for a parallel port dongle so I guess you're using the normal restore disc? That won't work for you.

I'll try to remember to upload the Upgrade discs for you tomorrow.

If I installed version 1.25, I downloaded several versions from the archive.org page but I don't know which one would fit

These versions did not work for me on the cpu

I'm jumping in here too, trying to fix one for a friend. Initially game said boot failure and CMOS reset. I put in a new battery and it booted and worked, then like an idiot I tried the system test button near the coin door, and it just died, now the PC won't boot.

I've pulled the PC out and will try to test it soon on a regular monitor, but when I initially plugged it up, it would not turn on. I assume the PSU is set to turn on only if it receives some other prompt for power?

It's complaining about the GPU. Which graphics card did you have?

The game isn't very picky about cards. As long as it's a Nvidia, it should work. So far I've tested the game with

6150LE (Optiplex 740 onboard GPU)
7600GS
8500GT
9500GT

and they all work.

I assume the PSU is set to turn on only if it receives some other prompt for power?

There's a y-harness between the PSU and motherboard which splits the PSU power-on line to a separate connector.

I found this cd hidden in the machine and I think it's the restoration cd but I can't find the other one, maybe the version of this cpu is too old or 1.0
