So I wanted to program a new eeprom for my Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo with the difficulty patch here https://www.romhacking.net/reviews/11317/#review . Apparently all US versions of the game have a difficulty bug that changing the difficulty does absolutely nothing and it defaults to a hard difficulty. My kids are getting into the series so would like to patch it so they can actually play this PCB.

My original 03 rom is labeled sfxu.03c. When applying either of the IPS patches using Flips Auto Patcher, I get that the orignal rom CRC is different than what it is expecting and the patch doesn't occur. I can use Lips IPS to just patch it but the game reboots if I do that.

My original rom\eeprom CRC and SHA are the following:
Hash SHA1: 04db3fd519973aeb7b32be62871e0fb4605946eb
CRC32: 86e4a335
From what I can tell via the Flips program it is expecting Source CRC32: 0x58004843 no clue what version that is and not sure if that is actually correct. Anyone have any success doing this before?

Try this file. Created with "Flips 1.98"

Expected crc before applying patch: CRC(86e4a335) SHA1(04db3fd519973aeb7b32be62871e0fb4605946eb)
Expected crc after applying patch is: CRC(621c110f) SHA1(9e5bfca68106ef68328dd6b25d60f7b65fe850b4)

I have not tested to play the game after the patch was applied but it should not be any problems, it's just a 2 byte patch of a branch at offset $584A.
