Hi yo, My name is Victor from Ventura county, I have always loved the arcades, I have a soft spot for capcom & SNK stuff, I have been collecting PCB's ever since I got my M.A.S. supergun 17 years ago, I have just started looking for actual arcade cabinets, I'm in the process of cleaning out the garage and fixing it up to make a game room, I have a lot of questions about what arcade hardware goes with what cabinets.
I have no idea what I'm doing and I'm completely unfamiliar with the JVS systems. But it's been a fun journey so far. English is not my native language so I'm sorry if some of my comments sometimes don't make sense. I would like to have an arcade cabinet for each multi when I'm done. I want to thank everyone that has taken the time to help me with my stupid questions ^^

Hello Victor and welcome. You’ll find answers to all your questions here!

JVS is just an interface to decluter the wires going to the main board; instead, they pushed it out to an I/O board, making it a lot easier to swap boards with kick harness for exemple.
If your cab is wired Jamma, no worries, there are jamma to jvs that plugs right in.

anyway! I’ll let you figure it out a bit, its part of the fun right?

Hi Victor,
Welcome. I’m new to the forum also. In addition to the great info here on the site, if you are able to cruise down to Fullerton the next time I host an arcade meet it may be beneficial for your gameroom build... and the regular attendees are a great resource for gaming info :)
