Basically asking what the post is. Being a noob to Arcades, I'm trying to soup up my Blast City Tube.. I don't have anything but the Tube, it's from a different Consumer TV that I'd rather use a better chassis in. I don't have plans to use it for Blast City, instead I'd rather just hook up a SCART connection and use my MISTer with it. Is that possible with an MS-2931 or similar chassis, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Hey I'm sorry but I'm struggling to understand exactly what you are asking. Is the question "Can I put an MS-2931 chassis on my consumer TV"?

If so, I wouldn't bother. You'd need to match inductance on the yoke that came on the tube, or else also swap out the yoke with one compatible with an MS-2931 for starters. The MS-2931, and most any arcade chassis, doesn't have scart as an output, so you'd need to make a custom cable for it. If you want rgb from a consumer tube it's probably better to do an rgb mod to the original chassis if you have the skills to do that. This is a great resource to look up it the particular model tv you have supports an rgb mod:

Same here, not getting what you need help on. But swapping chassis with other tubes and removing yokes from tubes, don't do it. You will destroy them. You will never get a close to good purity back. I have some experience on working with arcade monitors and chassis. I tried a couple of yoke and tube swaps and I only wasted my time and days of life.

My main goal was to be able to play different frequencies for a setup that could go 15Khz-31Khz. It's one option to use an arcade chassis, since the tube can be used. I hadn't thought as far as the yoke unfortunately.

My Consumer set is a peach anyway, I just fixed a 3-year problem with interference, that ended up being a former tech putting the wrong value resistor on the neckboard. Now that it's a clean set, I'm keeping it anyways. The set has 3 x SCART inputs, it's a World/MultiRegion set, so I'm already ahead of most issues now. The multiformat I can live without.

Ahh I see, you were looking to get multisync. If you really need that, there are multisync crts out there, they're just expensive. Then again, so is an ms-2931 :) Your current set sounds great though! I'm in the US and we have to RGB mod a set to get Scart.

I'm actually in Canada. Just got lucky with an imported set, the fact it's NTSC/PAL is a bonus. It's a pretty rare thing, 60Hz, designed by FA Porsche. So no reason to ditch it with CRT prices the way they are now.
