Hello all,
It's been a few weeks since I purchased a NAC, this is my first arcade cabinet ^^
I had a problem with my screen which was scratched ☹. I had read on different forums different solutions and today I got started !!
So it's to share with you my feedback that I am posting today, if it can help someone one day and also get your opinions!

@Thanx to my friends Nonosto and Berserker5 😉 for their advice!

PS : Sorry for my bad english ^^ I don't speak very well ||

My initial problem was that big scratch

I had a beer, smoked a cigarette, peed and took a deep breath !!:D:D:D

First i started polishing by putting a little polish in the corner and polish circle wise,

Final result after 3h30 of polishing ...

At the end i discover nex scratch but we can't see them ...

The game colours are more vibrant. There is of course a little bit more reflection ^^But I couldn't be happier

Wow! Looks like all of your hard work was well worth it!

Looks like you didn’t need to use much polish either.

Wow magnificent !!! My screen has scratches as well so this gives me the courage to try what you did 😱

Did you polish by hand? Or did you use an orbital polishing gun? All the advice I can get before I begin my attempt.

thank you!

I say the side effect of losing the anti-glare coating is worth the improvement of no scratches.
Good job

As a heads up- Novus 2 and a nice drill with a polishing pad will remove the anti glare/static coating a bit faster. Novus 3 works fine too- I haven't seen any damage with it but YMMV- just don't scratch the glass with the tools. After a dozen or so tubes like this- I have it down to about 30 minutes or so.

The glass etching/tagging/graffiti removal on the other hand can be like 12 hours lol.

Congrats on the monitor work! One of the cool bonuses of removing that purple layer is that you can turn the contrast/bright down a smidge, too.
