Hey y'all,
I got introduced to the hobby last year due to some fortunate timing. I started playing Third Strike early in the year, and fell in love with candy cabinets through the awesome collection/community at Neko Dojo in Kent, WA. I was working at a well known aerospace company, and around the same time they announced an IPO and the stock surged, a major tournament series in the area decided to close its doors and the organizer offloaded all of his equipment. I liquidated a small chunk of stock and bought two off of him.
One is a New Astro City. Body is in awesome condition, monitor has the slightest bit of burnin but is still gorgeous. The other is a Neo Candy 29. Body is in ok condition, monitor has some ghosting (haven't root caused yet) but otherwise is flawless. I've got them wired with a jamma splitter so they are a fully functioning head to head set up!
Inside, they are running a Mistercade and a borrowed CPS3 board. I've been playing a lot of Neo Geo games, did a first playthrough of Chrono Trigger, and lots of 3s and Alpha 2 with my friends and girlfriend.
I love tinkering and have learned quite a bit already just getting them up and running, but am eager to become active on the forums to learn more and make more friends through the hobby. Please reach out if you see me around and want to chat
