Trace the one from that little board to the computer com port

Hi guys, just wanted to share this so that can may be helpful to others with the same issue. Turned out my initial supposition was right and the problem was related to the small I/O board connected to the ringedge mobo. Once replaced with a working one, the force feedback started working again 😊
Thanks to @Mrhide and all the other for the support and tips!

Thanks for the service manual upload! My google-fu is letting me down on the normal ass manual for this game though. Does anyone have a copy?? I'm hoping to get some details on how the server cabinet works, or more specifically, how to connect two cabinets for the in-store battle mode.

So the server box has a standard/small network switch in there, and there are also two other larger network switches. I just have no idea which ports are meant for the cabinets and that's not in the service manual. The standard/small switch in mine had nothing plugged into it.

There's only one router needed:
The WAN port (was meant to) connect to the internet for the INITIAL D.NET network.
The LAN ports of the router should be used to connect your 2 games + the server box.

Perhaps the previous owner had a different setup ? ... you don't really need more than a switch if you want to play locally.

ps: remember:
"When starting up Initial D8, always make sure to start the server box before starting the cabinet. Automatic network
connection will not occur if the cabinet is started before the server box. If this is the case, restart the cabinet after the
server box has been started up"

So if I don't need more than a switch for local play, I'll just power up this switch which currently has and connect the cabinets to port 1 and 2? And that should allow for in store/local play? So I don't need the ringedge PC connected to the cabinets for local?

Right now the Ringedge is connected to a switch (lets call it switch 1) which is then daisy chained to switch 2. Cab A1 and A2 were connected into switch 1. Switch 3, the small 4 port LAN switch currently has NADA connected;

You need the server… which you call the ringedge pc so plug it in port 3 of the switch was has the A1 and A2 cab
I plugged it in that way, still nothing on the link. They're pretty old network cables, maybe I need to replace them? I'm getting green indicator lights on the switch when I plug in the cabinets, so something is recognized.

I set it to in store vs, opened the other side panel of the server to verify that the server PC is coming on. Do I need to connect the server to my router so the machines can obtain an IP? Or is that not required for in-store mode?
