Unfortunately there's not enough room in that version to do the mod with the whole library.

These two chips on the CHA board are what you're looking at.

Check to see if any of the pins are bridged, and if not, then you'll have to reflow. Whether it's the chip to the daughterboard or daughterboard to the main PCB, you'll have to figure out.
 
How much of the library could I cram onto it? There’s a lot of fighting games I’m indifferent to.

You were correct on the chip issue. I haven’t gotten it 100% but a quick reflow from the daughter boards to the main pcb cleaned up some of the games. More skilled hands could probably permanently fix that issue.

The AES V3's seem to come in two revisions. If you could kindly pop it open for me and make sure it does NOT look like this. You want the bigger chip on the left to be on a daughterboard, not this style.

Like I said, your cart isn't the right kind to do the whole library. I haven't got any sort of partial library setup going at this time, so there's not much I can do for you.

*Supposedly* this seller has carts available still at a normal price. I haven't ordered any, but a gent over in the RE thread said they have them.

Ah.. I'm looking for AES, but that's good to know. Can I get you to reflow the solder on my chips? Seems like one game works, two get glitchy every time I touch it. ||

I'm happy to do that.

I'll shoot you a PM with my address. If you don't mind waiting a few weeks, probably into January, I will look into this type of PCB. I ended up with one here on accident and now if there are two of them it's probably worth looking into, but I'd like to finish up this set first. Shoot me back a "must have" and a "don't care about" list of games, and we'll see what fits on two chips and see how much of a pain these ones are, ha.
 
I know a few of you guys had the STILT carts that just have the two C roms and no room for a third, and I'll be taking a look into those in a few weeks here. @Pinballjim came up with a nice game list that fits basically everything except the KoF series and a few other things that should fit on there. If so I'll be offering BYOC services on those as well for $25 less (one chip fewer to buy, program, and solder, otherwise it's the same amount of work).

Interesting, ill have to pull the 161 out of my mvs and take a look at what ver it is. I'd be interested in doing this..

This is the 2 CROM game list unless anyone has some major complaint about it. Soccer games are gone, same with the quiz games, stakes winners are gone, SamSho 1 and 2 are removed, FF's and KoF's also removed. Otherwise the same as the 3 C rom list (plus shinobi if it ends up working, if not, it's uh, on the menu.)
