Irem M92 In The Hunt, convert from US to JP version

Hey there y'all, I'm looking at picking up an In The Hunt PCB but wanted to know if it was possible to convert an M92 game from one regional version to another. So going from In The Hunt to Kaitei Daisensou in this case. Tried searching around but only saw threads on converting these boards from one game to another.

I did convert a UN Squadron to Area 88 by swapping out two roms so assume it would be similar but did see that there the sound cpu is encrypted on these so wasn't sure if that would affect different versions of the same game.

Hey there . Have you seen this theard (where from any M92 donor you can have all M92 + 2 x M107 in 1 ? :

I did this process to my Undercover Cops, you have to replace all the socketed ROMs on the bottom board. There's 13 or so of them.

I did actually, considering it but the only other game I think I'm interested in would be Gun Force II, maybe R-Type. Though if a region change requires 10+ ROM swaps it's probably worth it for that alone, lol.

So not quite as simple as my Area 88 conversion, thanks for the info!
 
I'd recommend the multi but if you change the jumpers for the sound cpu and reburn all the roms with the decrypted version you can play the version you want.
I converted major title to ninja baseball bat man.

That's a bit more manageable, thanks for the info!

I don't think there's any difference between the two outside the title screen but if it's easy enough to convert I just get my games running the JP versions for looks in attract mode.
