Jambo Safari steering wheel info

That doesn't look like a Sega mech. What cab was this again?

Its a Jambo upright cab.

I guess that settles it then. Sega used Happ steering mechs on foreign market cabs (so US, likely Europe too).

It's not aftermarket, it's original. But it isn't Sega manufactured.

Here's a picture of my Jambo that I imported from Asia (same as Japan, but with English stickers):

I had an European Crazy Taxi and that had the same Sega mech too. But Crazy Taxi came out before Sega Europe started cost cutting and making (and I guess sourcing) parts locally.

Never owned a European Jambo or a High Roller of any region.

Ive seen some of those mechs on ebay, but the prices seem to be about twice what i paid for my whole cab :D
But the most probable thing is that someone just swapped the wheel on mine then.
Ill live with this for now and hope that a cheap mech turns up at some point!

Forgot to respond but thanks for asking your question @corpsicle and providing the images of your mech! That's what I have inside mine. Ping me if you want any other images to compare something.

Nice, it makes me feel better that it's original even if it's not the Sega mech.

I don't think there's anything to it as long as the mounting bolts in the lower control panel are the same.

If they're not the same, then you have to chop off the old ones and install new ones.
