Could anyone please advise if this JAMMA cable looks fine for a one board 2 cabs (Blast + Astro) Versus Play setup for CPS3 ?

Why i'm asking is that my Blast City is experiencing random CRT shutdowns (sound continues, so the game is still running), the screen just suddenly switch off just like you switching off a TV. It doesn't seem to happen when connected directly to the game board, but it's intermittent so I need more testing to confirm.

So i'm suspecting maybe the cable? or some issue with the Chassis flyback?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated!

is the wire necessary? will it damage the cab especially the tube?

What are those two JAMMA fingers connected to?
To my CPS3 board, it looks like this.
Jamma edge to the board, 1 Jamma finger board to the main cab which supplies the power
the other one should just split out the RGB and controls to the other cab for versus play.
so i'm curious about the GND wire on the 2p finger board

There’s a dedicated harness system to connect two Blast City arcade cabinets together. It comprises two dedicated harnesses inside the cabinets that connect to the I/O board, a video amplifier PCB in the cabinet that holds the arcade PCB and a VGA cable and SCSI type cable that connect the cabinets externally. Not sure if it’s going to work between a blast and an Astro though.

I think your video signal is dropping out or is not strong enough (missing a video amp PCB) but what you really need is a link kit for the cabinets.

I have two of these original kits. One is currently installed between two cabinets and the other stored in case I want to connect the other two.

This video is longer than it needs to be but will show you everything you need to link two Blast cabinets (but you have an Astro and Blast).

Details of a ‘home made’ kit, but still requires a video amplifier PCB
