I think I've seen one in my 8+ years of frequenting Akihabara. Think it was sometime last year at Beep, if my memory is correct. Don't recall the price. Then again, not something I've tried to keep an eye out for.

Probably the same one I saw last year. I just assumed it wasn't for sale like 90% of the other computer stuff along that back wall.

Just wanted to share some bad luck I just had, which also serves as a reminder about the nature of YAJ. Most items related to our hobby are sold as “junk” which means they cannot be returned. I recently purchased a 450 line 9” PVM to replace the 250 line one I bought a couple months ago. I was hoping to upgrade and then give the 250 line one to my younger friend as his first CRT.
The 450 line PVM arrived very well packed with no shipping damage; however, the blue gun is likely dying. I messed with the blue bias and gain settings on the monitor to no avail. This first picture is the CPS2 test menu. Other video inputs like S-Video are just as bad. After shipping, this was 10,000 down the drain for me. I got lucky with the 250 line PVM which was sold as simply “energization okay, operation not confirmed”, so I took the gamble, and lost.
That being said, although I will always pack all items with extreme care, please remember that any item listed as “junk” on YAJ is a crapshoot.

ST-V that went out recently. Removed from metal case, thickly bubbled wrapped along with games, wrapped again in cardboard, then placed into the shipping box. Safe travels!

Important note: I got turned away at the post today for not having a contact email and phone number on this order. It is not required when making shipping labels, but because of the beast that is European customs JP Post doesn’t want to send anything there without it. Lesson learned. Apologies to the recipient.

They retaliate, so I left "neutral" with an accurate description of what happened.
CPS3 kit ready to go. Everything individually bubble wrapped and placed back in the original Capcom box. Box then double bubble wrapped and then double boxed. Safe travels!
