Sent out a nice 1-slot MVS today to one of our friendly senior members. Other than the plastic being a little scratched up it was in great shape with zero cigarette smell. I’m hoping it will get married to an MVS multi upon arrival 🙂.

RingEdge 2 times 2 sent via surface mail down under today. 16.4kg package that barely met the size limit within 1cm.

For those that don’t know. Japan Post measures the circumference of the package and then adds the longest side. In other words, five lengths are taken into account instead of 3 (length/width/height) via other services. To make things more fun, Australia limits this five sided measurement to 150cm instead of 200cm like the US and many European countries. As a result, surface shipping large items to Australia can be a challenge.

All that being said, this particular recipient is one of best customers and I’m always glad to help him out 🙂

Just for clarity. I’m buying things from Yahoo without using Buyee. I’m using my own Yahoo account so I can buy from sellers that would normally block proxies like Buyee.

That being said, if you use services like Buyee, you can buy multiple items using them and then have them send it to me in order to combine the packaging and reduce your shipping costs. I’ve turned over a hundred separate packages into just seven packages for somebody since I’ve started doing this last year.

Many proxies do not allow to send it to a Japanese address. Trust me I tried when jauce wanted 49k yen shipping for a computer :(

Did you pay with PayPal, if so that’s the reason. They are not allowed to send it to a different address other than what was listed on PayPal. Buyee will for sure forward me other people’s packages, but ONLY if they didn’t use PayPal. As for other services I’m not sure.

Of course, the best away to avoid getting ripped off on shipping is to just have me buy the item for you in the first place 😉.

Thanks to Joko, I saved lot of money a while ago. Buyee consolidated some items I previously purchased by my own, resulting in a stupid big package. They didn't take apart the original individual domestic shipping boxes, and they put them all into a big box. Obviously, shipping it in tha way to the other part of the world would be stupidly expensive. They claimed I selected "ensured plan" or something and they cannot open boxes... blah, blah, blah....

Then, I found this thread and Joko helped me by receiving the big box and rearrange them like a normal person would do, removing original individual boxes, and ship it overseas to me.

Thanks a lot @Joko3 for your amazing service. Next time I'll ping you directly for buying japan stuff.

This seems to be the trend recently, I wonder if they're doing this on purpose to some how make more money? I got hit with doubled the shipping cost ($100+ turned into $200+) due to this stupid excessively large box issue. Read 2 stories about Buyee, From Japan myself, and another I think it was Zenmarket maybe all happening recently.

Trying to decide if I should ship my last stereo deck to Joko and have him ship to me or just eat the cost.

Buyee will also just take the packages (even if they are all boxes) and throw them into an envelope as long as they fit. Now you could have items that are smashed up against each other thanks to a lack of space and the boxes could get crushed as a result.

Buyee generally sucks if you are consolidating more than 2-3 items even if the rates are decent for the non-protective packaging consolidation service. See how they nickle and dime?

PM me with details, and let's see if it makes sense to use me on this package or not : )

Just wanted to re-iterate what some are saying with Buyee latest practice. I got a PC9821 PC and chose to consolidate it with a cable and a keyboard, they couldn't get it all in one package despite putting the PC in an unnecessarily gigantic box, which the PC itself was already package in a good fitting box with foam. Shipping prices was insane for it.

I’m honestly not sure if this request is worth making, as I honestly don’t know the real value of the item…

I’m looking for a new, sealed, Espgaluda OST CD.

Cheapest I can find in the UK is £110 shipped.

I just bought a new and sealed Espgaluda II OST CD for ~£35 shipped, so I’m very reluctant to pay triple the price.

However, I accept that it might simply be that the OG OST CD is much rarer, and really is valued at three times the price??

If you think it can be found cheaper, hit me up please 😎

I see a lot of game soundtracks, but I haven't paid attention to what is there whenever I see the shelves. I'll take a look next time I'm in Akiba. I'll be going on again next week.

^ At the time (maybe still, not sure), all shipping to Sweden from Japan was closed except Japan Post surface mail. Glad it all arrived safe!

Today will be a big packing day, and I will post a lot of pictures soon. My living room is quite full of cardboard lol.

Apologies for any delays and the mistakes I've made in the last month. It's been a very hectic month with my family here, and I have not been as focused as I was in months past. Thank you for your continued interest and support despite this. It is genuinely appreciated.

Here are some cool recent items : )

Hey @Joko3. I’ve become enamored of the HSS-0130 Virtua Stick Pro, and leery of buying over Ebay because I can’t verify the condition (plus many Japanese sellers have terrible cameras for some reason). What would it take to get one in decent condition? I’m planning to replace the panel, buttons, and board, so the main consideration is whether the chassis is in decent condition. I would Retrobright it if needed, so my concern is more about chips/cracks, destructive mods, etc.
