Hi Guys !

Im back again with another curiosity about this very old title as well as one of the first historical ones.
Have you ever noticed that the intro of the game changes drastically in the two versions?

Check here :

MVS
AES

On MVS we have this loop:
Logo -> Title -> Demo -> Score

but on AES we have:
Logo -> Story -> Title -> Score

Since I love seeing my mvs in a loop inside its cabinet with original bios, i was wondering, is it possible to reactivate the story scene inside the rom which is only present in AES? ?(
I think there's a lot of hard work to be done here... :saint:
Thanks to Pythagoras we have already fixed NAM of which I made a physical copy to run on my cabinet.
 
Yes, the job is already done in HBMAME. Have a look at the rom loading and it shows the locations that need patching.

If you patch on 0x70b3,1,0x60
In this version when you add credits you will get story again and no title menu like original:

if you patch instead on 0x70b2,1,0x60 you get this screen without BG and it will crash on console mode....

How About This?

Don't do any of the patches above, change only $70BC from $03 to $01 in rom "021-p1.p1"
 
I don't want to make another thread, but since it is in a similar vein I'm wondering if anyone has ever looked at Knight's Chance.

It has a small bug where when it in a multi-slot machine the attract mode loops back to the beginning boot sequence of Knight's Chance and doesn't advance to the next game. Maybe some of the wizards here would have an idea how to fix that (I'm assuming it would be in the P1?)
