Hello all, hoping someone has some info that can help here

I'm working on repairing a Reflec Beat, Volzza version, original cabinet, but the location this game was at (a bar-cade) had a drink spilled on the infrared touch panel sensor and it burned out a transistor on the frame's edge. I looked into repairing it with replacement SMD components, but that might be a challenge because the pads for it are gone.

The game runs on a Bemani PC, connected to a 21.5" widescreen LCD panel via DVI
The IR touch panel is an overlay of that screen, and uses a DB9 COM port connector, which attaches to an extension cable that splits and connects to the COM Serial port of the computer and a power connector to the PS/2 port.

I ordered a simple 22" IR touch frame, but it was USB and didn't work. I learned that the game is using RS232 protocol for the panel and not HID which USB uses.
Returned it and searched for another one
I special ordered 22" IR touch frame that came with the DB9 COM Serial connector using RS232 protocol, but it also has a split on the cable to do USB. I'm unsure if the USB is a secondary connection interface or just for power like the PS/2 connector was for the original one. Either way, it didn't work when I plugged it into the system.

I'm now out of ideas of what to do to get the touch panel working again. The damaged original still partially works.

I have the game software downloaded from an archive.org site, so if I need to get this working on a homebrew system, I'm prepared to do that but I also do not have familiarity with setting these Konami Bemani PCs up

I've gotten as far as finding out that the panel is a IRTouch Systems K22 model, EOL years ago. K22D03MR-02 to be exact. I found it on their website through the wayback internet portal, last mention was around 2015.
I reached out to Konami, they referred me to Betson Enterprises in NJ.
"Konami appointed Betson Enterprises, a division of H. Betti Industries, Inc. as its solely authorized parts and service company for Konami's video games."
I reached out to Betson Enterprises in NJ, USA, they said:
"Unfortunately we do not offer support on this machine. You may want to try Channel Beat."
I reached out to Channel Beat about the touch panel, they said:
"Very sorry, we cannot help."
So then I began emailing contacts listed on the IRTouch Systems webiste, both the Asia contacts as well as USA side business contacts, I got separate replies.
One person representing USA side said:
"The K series has been manufacturing EOL many years ago. IRTouch now belongs to a different company, and we most likely wont be able to support (replacement). We can look into where /who you got the touch screen from, and see if there are similar replacement to this."

A separate reply from IRTouch Systems Asia contact said this:
"We received your request on www.irtouch.net, and I am regret to tell you that from 1st, Sep, all original business of IRTOUCH has been transferred to ZHONGYUAN, a subsidiary company of CVTE group. So in the future, ZHONGYUAN will be the supplier of all product used to be belonged to IRTOUCH.

About your request of K22D003MR-02, I am sorry to tell you that this model has been EOL for many years.
And we are not able to offer any products.
Also, the tooling has been ruined and it’s not possible to offer replacement with the same dimensions.
May I know the size and application you would like to use on your project?
I will see if we could offer other options such as 21.6inch or 23.6inch."

I've hit a wall here.

The game does not recognize a replacement panel even with the exact same wiring configuration. The Windows XP Embedded image must be using a fixed driver and not doing any sort of plug-n-play detection to update the driver. I connected a keyboard and mouse to the system to try and break-n, however it does not allow any access to the OS once booted. I haven't tried removing the HDD and connecting it to another PC yet because I'm not sure what I would be able to do differently there.

I sourced all of the Reflec Beat games from all of the cabinets from archive.org, not entirely familiar with how to run the software yet though. If anyone can assist with this, it would be greatly appreciated.
