Konami Cobra System Never Dies

lets see it running!Konami Cobra System Never Dies![]()
Very good IdeaI have been thinking about making a BGA socket because of frequent failures of BGA chips on model 3 step2.0 graphics boards.
This may be fixed by socketing the Cobra board's BGA chips.

are any those used on any other device or are they unique to Cobra?I'd wager that the cobra's chips are compromised, and that bga rework (or a socket) isn't going to actually fix anything
I can find some off-the-shelf/obsolete stuff (IBM power PC, fifo ram, fgpas) but other stuff I haven't been able to source. Could just be obfuscated serial numbers but it's obfuscated enough to keep me from working on it lol. I do assume the fpgas aren't fried (those would be show-stoppers if so), but the bga parts on the video board under all the heat-sinks are dead-ends for me.are any those used on any other device or are they unique to Cobra?
It's been a LONG time since I hooked one up, but I think all I used was this wiring diagram: https://www.arcade-museum.com/manuals-videogames/F/Fighting-WuShu--Fighting-Bujutsu.pdfI got a Cobra board. I need to make a power supply, but I'm curious what the 3.3 volt connector is divided into purple and blue wires. Are both purple and blue 3.3v or some other voltage?
thank you! I will try to make it well while looking at the wiring diagram. I need to boot after replacing the rtc and hdd. I hope the bga isn't broken. It's been a LONG time since I hooked one up, but I think all I used was this wiring diagram: https://www.arcade-museum.com/manuals-videogames/F/Fighting-WuShu--Fighting-Bujutsu.pdf
Good luck, I hope it boots. It very likely won't, you'll need a new RTC at minimum. Very likely a new HDD, and if it was ever operated or moved, the GPU board is probably dead.

wow! thank you so much! I'll try wiring it.Hi!
I quickly scanned the diagrams.
I'll publish the rest later. I have two original Japanese manuals.
Of the two, one is a bit ugly on the outside.
I think I'll sacrifice itby removing the binding for better scanning and proper archiving.
I must have found a very good book guillotine.![]()
