Konami hornet - Converting Silent Scope 2 to Gradius 4

I have recently come into ownership of a Silent Scope 2 PCB and was looking to convert it to gradius 4. does anyone know if there's a tutorial out there? Additionally, the filterboard doesn't have a JAMMA edge on it (it's all JST NH headers). Would it be safe to say that making my own JAMMA adapter for that would work?
