Hello,
My buddy and I just got our Landing High Japan cabinet working, and found the original LCD monitor seems to have some intermittent issues.
The monitor briefly works when you first plug it in. Assumably the capacitance or something on the monitor itself seems to be failing as there's a brief TAITO image from the cabinet PCB, then it fades away.
Thankfully the backlight still functions normally.
We can still play the game without the LCD panel, but it's not the same.
When the panel did work briefly, it displays insturments crucial for operation of an airplane. (airspeed, horizon, insturments etc)
We're looking for a suitable replacement of this monitor.
If anybody has some parts from a dead cabinet, I'd be happy to pay for them and ship from where-ever.
I understand this is a rather oddball Taito cabinet, so hopefully somebody out there has parts from one that we could use to complete this wonderful game.
IF YOU KNOW OF A REPLACEMENT SOLUTION, please DM me with your parts lists so we can assemble or retrofit something in it's place.
Thanks for all your help AP.
