Does anyone repair lcd monitors? I have a maimai/initial D monitor that flash on for a second. Led strip test good and I have replace the driver board (was sold as working). The BLO only get 3.3VDC for the second the BL is on.

How did you test the led strip?

On my maimai, you can turn down the brightness down to 0 (you need to do this with the aid of flashlight) and then when you turn it on from the remote, it will run the leds in fail safe mode. You can then pinpoint the exact leds that have burnt out.

I got a led tester and even Replace the strip just in case. I must have a new revision as I only have led on one side. I just have the monitor, I'm helping someone else out. With the control board that I have all I can do is select input (vga/dvi). If I power the led from my homemade psu all light up fine

Funny story, when I replaced the led strip on the maimai monitor, it still didn't work. The strip that I had bought from Aliexpress was broken from factory. The leds were fine, but there was a missing connection from the connector down to one of the segments. I had to run some Kynar wire on the side to fix it.

Not saying that's the problem with yours, but never assume with these things.

Yeah I saw your post. I manually test each led and each of the 4 segments just to make sure. The odd thing is I have 4 that does the same thing. I have yet to replace the led on the other 3, but they test good on my tester. My guess now is it's the rtd2482 I can't find a data sheet on it but I have the ic on order from aliexpress. Here hoping it's not counterfeit. It's unlikely that it will get here before I have to leave 2 months for work.

When you said remote, do you mean like a remote control or the control board?

Interesting mine doesn't seem to give that option. I can only can select input
