Linking Naomi2 ID3

Trying to link my naomi2 ID3

Get stuck at checking network now screen.

Master cabinet (player 1) flashes "checking network now"

Slave cabinet (player 2) stays solid.

Fiber cables connected correctly, naomi2/netdimm sandwich board installed on both units.

Any ideas to fix this?

I had a similar issue with my linked naomi cab(different game). it ended up being one of the fiber cables inside the cabinet. those cables are extremely delicate (never bend or kink them, they are glass). There was light coming through, but I guess there were too many cracks in the cable to make it to the other side with enough quality for them to read each other.

Couldn't hurt to have a complete extra set of em around, worst case IMO. They're not too expensive.

Was not the toslink, tried brand new and same issue.

Have a replacement link sandwich board on order, will see if it fixes issue.

Link board fixed issue.

One Naomi 2 was blinking the other was not. Blinking is not normal. ( checking network now screen blinking).


Replaced the board and the two games are linked now. This is the board that is sandwiched between Naomi 2 and the Netdimm
