I have a Knights of the Round that was still running fine on battery when I got it and I’ve definitely seen System 16B CPUs still running on their original batteries. They’re still out there

Can you check your PAL chip? do you have RT63B ?

Well, what is interesting for us is the silkscreen text, which in this case is IOC1, but you are looking at the PAL on C Board, we'd like to see the one on the B Board, top left corner, close to the CAPCOM text.
