I recently picked up a very nice Namco Cyberlead from a friend, and I am looking for a bit of advice. I have been out of the arcade world for 10+ years now, mainly doing pinball. I have been wanting to pick up a candy cab again (owned an Atomiswave in the past) to play fighters on. The Cyberlead is setup for JVS/Naomi and has a working Naomi 1 system inside. I do plan to run a CF setup inside at some point. However, I would also like to be able to run either a MisterFPGA with a JVS converter or a Mistercade and maybe use a Jamma Converter. The monitor is a Nanao MS9-29ND22W, which from what I can find is a dual sync 15/24khz monitor. The Naomi games run at 15k right now.

From the limited research I have done, it seems if/when the stuff finally comes back in stock, that maybe a MisterFPGA setup with a Mister JVS Expander from Irken Labs might be the best and easiest option. I am really mainly interested in CPS2 games, but the rumblings of Mister CPS3 support is intriguing as well.

Anybody else have any experience with this kind of setup? Again, I have a lot to catch up on while I have been out of the loop, but I am excited to get back into the arcade side :) I already have Power Stone and CvS1 carts for it, so that will keep me busy until my CF stuff arrives.

I have a CyberLead with an Irken JAMMA Expander, and it's a brilliant setup. No hassles, no caveats.

Why don't you use a RecallBox with JVS to Jamma adapter?! do a search on it, by the way Tekken 3/2 will feel at home in this Gorgeous Namco cab :D

In the past the input delay when dealing with a comptuer/Pi setup was too much for me in fighting games, and I have read the Jamma to JVS adapters can also introduce a little bit of input delay. My buddy has a Tekken 3 board he said I could borrow if I do find a Jamma to JVS adapter.

The biggest issue I am facing right now is no matter what direction I chose to go, nearly every company/person that makes the devices to do any of this is either out of stock or just not making anything atm. :-/

You can get a Capcom or sega JVS/jamma adapter, Capcom is expansive but sega ones can be found on AliExpress for a fair price.
I just found this on AliExpress.
