I am looking for the hacked Roms for Forgotten Worlds made by Apocalypse to play the game with normal Joystick controls, but since he is not reachable anymore I am not sure how to proceed. I understood that he sold them in the past and I am happy to pay, but I cannot contact him.

Since I was offered a broken CPS1 board ready to convert by the seller, I would need the Roms as soon as possible. I always wished to play the arcade version of Forgotten Worlds, but I will not buy or make a spinner panel, so the original board is not an option for me.

If somebody has the roms and knows how much to pay and has his Paypal address, I would be happy to send him the money and receive the Roms from a member here. Or of course if somebody knows how to contact him, it would be a great help.

It would be great if anyone could help me out.

Thanks in advance.

I want to thank you all for your help, I will definitely be more active here. Very nice, honest and helpful community.

I have one more question though, does anyone by any chance know, if I can use any CPS1 board to convert it into Forgotten Worlds, or does it need to be a specific one?

Curious - why is Apocalypse no longer reachable?

I know he gave up on the Samurai Shodown RPG translation, but I thought maybe he'd get back to it sometime. Did he leave the scene?

Yes, he's decided to leave the public scene but he's still working hard on cool arcade projects privately. There's a thread on it here:

I dont know Apoc personally, but would anyone that is close to him be able to submit a supplication to him from a desperate dork?

I totally understand his reasons (after reading that thread). But would it be possible for someone to request he pass on whatever work he's completed on the Samurai Shodown RPG translation to another group/translator? Obviously he would need to be (and deserve to be) credited in the final product but... Ive been wanting/waiting for a SSRPG translation for quite a while, and his translation showed the most promise.

If he could provide the tools and progress to another group it would be amazing. And it would be one less thing he needs to worry about.

@Mitsurugi-w would this be possible?

I can maybe bring it up eventually but at this point I'm not pressuring they guy at all. He needs his space.
Oh by no means any pressure meant at all. I just figured if he's down to move on from it and its low-pri for him, I'd be happy to take the reigns. Im not a translator or anything but I would do my best to build a team or bust my ass learning to try to continue what he did.

Hi. Can I get this rom set, too?

Can somebody give me Apocalypse forgotten worlds hacked roms?

I up the topic about the modification to the Apocalypse romhack that allows you to rotate characters/modules with two buttons. I have a small problem with my conversion with this hack, I'd like to know if it's the same for you?

Here are the two possible scenarios for rotation, with or without shooting:

When you rotate without shooting, the character rotates on himself and the module rotates around him, which is a bit like in R-type, allowing you to parry enemy shots and place the module where you want it.

When you rotate while firing, the character rotates on itself, but the module rotates in a static manner (it no longer rotates around the character and remains in the same place).

On my pcb with the hack, when I rotate using the buttons, in both cases the module reacts as if I were shooting, it rotates on itself but doesn't turn around the character.

Is this also the case for you?
