Looking for an auto painter willing to paint arcade cabinets. I'm in southern california and have a very yellow Capcom Impress that I want to get done in white.

When you find someone, clue me in! I've a few cabs I've been putting off for literally years now.

This is something I think a lot of people could potentially use if we can find a shop that's cool.

My experience is just about any auto body place will deal with whatever you bring in, they don't care. I've done it with various things from car bumpers to control panels. But still, be nice to find a place that was interested in doing it instead of just tolerant heh.

That's exactly what I needed. I live in Glendale!! I'm so happy I could kiss you.
Or whatever a less cliche phrase is. Thanks, dude. :D

Having taken apart and entire car to get it painted and reassembled myself, just find a decent shop and tell them it is a cash job. It should be no different than painting a bumper. You will save a ton of money if you do the prep work yourself.

Few tips:

I had really good results with cracks in ABS by filing or sanding out the groove and using JB Water Weld or similar two part epoxy putty. Fixed an astro cab at the local arcade with it where the control panel sits and been 4 years and going strong.

Check with painter/body guy first before doing prep to make sure they are ok with it. You can block it out with 600 grit or similar and it will come out flawless.

Insist they use a flex agent in the paint and get a two stage job (color and clear).

You will have a very durable cab if you strip it all down and let them bake it after. Otherwise, leave out in the sun for a week and reassemble after 3 weeks. Paint will be hard as a rock after.
